Arts Meriwether Collective Banner

Arts Meriwether Collective invites all artists to a unique community exhibition celebrating creativity, environmental awareness, and local talent. Their artwork it is showcased alongside Meriwether County students, highlighting the richness of our region’s artistic expression and collective commitment to sustainability.

Meriwether County Fine Art Teachers created art lessons that focused on water and the animals in the water.  They incorporated fine art standards as well as science standards in their lessons. Meriwether County students at MVES, Unity, and MHS were encouraged to create artwork both individually and with partners while in art classes.  Teachers selected a variety of student artwork to represent each of their schools.

MicroplasticsJO, Greenville Middle School students, and Manchester Middle School students combined their creativity into a collective art piece symbolizing our shared responsibility to safeguard Meriwether’s aquatic environments and protect the waters that sustain our community Through this project, they deepened their understanding of the environmental challenges facing our waterways and learned practical ways to better protect and preserve these vital ecosystems.

This initiative is the result of a unique collaboration between local partners and schools, who joined forces to celebrate the arts, inspire community pride, and promote cultural activities and environmental awareness that enrich Meriwether County.
