Janet McGregor Dunn Headshot

Janet McGregor Dunn

Janet McGregor Dunn has been dabbling with art since she could first hold a crayon. Her first forays into the art-sales world began with a paintbrush in hand in high school. She was selected for the Governor’s Honor Program in art in high school, focused on art in college and has a list a mile long of workshops and classes she has participated in or taught throughout her art career.
After years of oil, watercolor and oil painting she found clay and for many years focused solely in that medium. She is known for her experiments in textures and shapes with her ceramics. Over the past few years she has returned to painting and mixed media, exploring textures and shapes on canvas and wood. Clay is still part of her life and always will be. Many of her mosaic and mixed media pieces incorporate her clay creations.
McGregor Dunn teaches acrylic pours, ceramics, and mixed media. She opens her Fayetteville studio and gallery weekly for “Tea on Tuesday”. The public is invited to drop by, have a cup of tea and possibly play a bit with clay or other mediums. She serves on the Board of Fine Arts and Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE) and the Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour (SHAST). Additionally, she is a member of numerous art groups and her art can be found in galleries throughout Georgia and in Travis City, Michigan.
Her gallery and studio are located at 614 Lester Road just off Ebenezer Road. She hosts a weekly open-studio on Tuesdays each week and teaches art for groups and individuals. Text 404-290-3638 for more information.
