BACKSTORY:

I wish I could say Future Garden (Sea kelp) and Koi were the result of diving or snorkeling experiences, but I cannot. I am humbly fascinated with the whole underwater world to which few humans have access. It remains mysterious to me. I recently read The Playground by Richard Powers (author of The Overstory as well) and his descriptions of how mantas could actually play with bubbles had a significant effect on me. Intelligent animal life-who knew?! The Intelligence of Plants are next, you know!
