BACKSTORY:

Trepidation grew from the LOOK from the new big sister.
The introduction of Vera to brand new Ellis elicited trepidation on the part of ALL the characters, including Mom (her arm)
and the energy = linear white marks; a cheap trick maybe, but I think they work.
