Ink Sumi-e Traditional Japanese Scroll Kakejiku 11.5”w x 28” h At just 13 years of age, Sophie has already exhibited three times at the National Art Center Tokyo and once at the Shirataka Cultural Exchange Center Museum of Art. Her next international exhibition is in January.

The subject of the painting is Maliwe, one of the children Chris taught at an orphanage in southern Zambia. The cane held by Maliwe is actually Chris’s, frequently borrowed by the orphanage children.
